Keeping It Simple

Hello my scrappy friends! I had a couple of cards I wanted to make and I knew I wanted to keep it simple, so I pulled out my Imagine and started creating.

For the first card, which is going to a very special little girl, I used the 'Best Friends' Imagine cartridge. I cut the adorable little girl out at 3.7-inches. For the base layer I cut out a 5.5-inch square and filled it with the floral design. The top note shape is one of the stock images on the Imagine. I cut it out at 3.5-inches and filled it with blue.

I ran the top note through my Cuttlebug using the Tiny Bubbles embossing folder. The base pink layer is card stock from Papertrey Ink, as is the circle with the sentiment. I used the shape of the circle and my acrylic block to arrange my stamp so that it would stamp in a circular pattern. To finish off the card I added twine, a button and some stitching with my white pen.

Isn't she cute?!

Next up is a thank you card. The patterns and shapes for the card came from the 'Imagine More Cards' cartridge. I cut out a 4.5-inch square and filled it with the polka dot pattern. The next two layers are part of an image on page 15. I separated it into layers and only cut out the two pieces that I wanted to use (the blue and notebook paper). Those were cut at 3.3-inches.

The sentiment, along with the base and pink card stock are from PTI. I embossed my sentiment with black embossing powder by Ranger. The fabric flower is a "bloomer" by Basic Grey (I think). To finish off this simple card I added some buttons, a little twine, and stitching.

I really appreciate you stopping by and looking at my projects, and a special thank you to all of my new followers! I'm SO excited and happy to have you, all of you! Be on the look out because I'm going to be having a fantastic giveaway in honor of reaching 100 followers! I'm so grateful and honored that you stop to look at my work, and I hope to give you a little inspiration along the way.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend. I'll see you back here soon!

Imagine Cards

Happy Friday! I don't have a lot of details but I wanted to share a couple of cards I made today with my Imagine. I'm participating in a little online swarm with the circle for those of us who didn't get to attend the Stampede. Insert sad face here, lol!

The first card is 5 by 5-inches from the 'Better Together' cartridge. I used a top note shape from the 'I' stock images and filled it with a pattern from the cartridge. The twine is from 'The Twinery". I added a button and stickles for more dimension and texture.

This card is a standard A2. I used 'Lori's Garden' for the flower and the script background. I did cut two of the layers out and elevated them on the base image of the flower. The kraft and yellow paper is from PTI as is the blue satin ribbon. The slightly tilted (lol!) sentiment is from Unity. It's a new set I picked up called "It's Your Day" and I'm absolutely loving it.

Thank you for stopping by and don't forget about the blog hop tomorrow! I hope to see you there.
