Design Team Submission

Hi scrappers! I hope you had a nice weekend.I've got a really fun card to share with you. I decided to "throw my hat into the ring" and submit a project for a chance to be on Robyn, My Pink Stamper's Design Team. I'm sure she will have lots and lots of entries, so my chances are pretty slim, but why not give it a shot?! She gave us the following guidelines:

Challenge: Make a card, scrapbook page, or other Cricut project with your favorite Cricut cartridge using the following colors......

Orange
Brown
Turquoise
Green

I just happened to get an order in last week from Two Peas In A Bucket which had a stamp that was perfect for this color combination. We are also able to add 1 color of our choice, so can you guess what I picked? Red, of course!

Aren't they the cutest little monsters?! I colored them with my Copics. The card is 3 and 3/4-inches squared. I created it by welding 2 postage stamp shaped images together on my Gypsy. I colored the balloon twice so I could cut 1 out to pop up on the card. I also added Glossy Accents to the balloon.

Details:
  • Kraft cardstock-Papertrey Ink
  • X-press It cardstock for Copic coloring
  • Pattern Paper-My Mind's Eye "Fly A Kite"
  • Tiny Tags Die-Papertrey Ink
  • B is for Boy-welded card cut at 9-inches
  • Stamp-My Pink Stamper and Stamping Bella "Monstahbash"
  • Copic Markers-sorry I forgot to write them down
  • Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and Jenni Bowlin
  • Spellbinders Nestabilities-Large Labels
  • Glossy Accents
  • Sakura Gelly Roll Pen-white
  • Twine-Divine Twine (I think, sorry)

I'm happy with my card, even if it doesn't get me a spot on the design team. I'm also pretty impressed with my ability to stay within the color scheme. Color challenges can be, well, challenging! Lol! If you're interested in submitting your own project or want to see what everyone else has created you can check it out here.

Happy Birthday Dad!

I apologize for the quality of the pictures. Today I'm sharing a birthday card I made for my Dad. I got my inspiration from a stamp made by Prima, which basically looks like a musical score. To make the shape card I took an image of a stamp, from B is for Boy, and welded two together to create a standard A2 size card. The top note shape is from Storybook. I made one top note slightly larger to use as a shadow. The music notes, aren't they cool!, are from Gypsy Wanderings.

Recipe
Background Stamp-Prima
Sentiment Stamps and Twine-Papertrey Ink
Kraft and White CS-Bazzil
Blue and Green PP-Heidi Grace ( they have a light damask print)
Background PP-Me & My Big Ideas
Sakura Black Gelly Roll Pen

I didn't use any MME paper on this card at all, crazy huh?! Well, a girl needs to expand her horizons every once in a while.

Thanks for stopping by!
