Summer Card Camp-Week 2

Hey scrappers! Two posts in one day, pretty amazing right?! If you're looking for my Sassy Lady design team post click here. I'm back this afternoon to share my card for week 2 of summer card camp. I'm having fun seeing all the amazing talent of the designers. At first glance I thought this color combo would be pretty simple, but I'm discovering that really sticking to the 5 colors can be challenging. We are able to use neutral colors like white, brown, black on our cards as needed.

Onto the card...here is this weeks color combo

I decided to use a colored image again this week. And let me just say that I'm still pretty new to the Copic world, and I still have a lot to learn. This is also the first time I've colored an animal and I don't quite have the texture part of it down, but I think he turned out pretty cute anyway.

I used the same technique I did last week of heat embossing a background stamp and applying ink after. This time I used 3 different colors of ink and I think the end result is really cool.

Details
  • Cardstock: Papertrey Ink and X-press It (Copic image)
  • Pattern Paper: October Afternoon "Fly A Kite"
  • Ink: Jenni Bowlin
  • Tag Die: Papertrey Ink
  • Twine: Papertrey Ink
  • Stamp: Stampendous "Dream"
  • Digital Image: Some Odd Girl "Tweet"
  • Embossing Powder: Stampendous (white)
  • Glossy Accents
  • Copic Markers

Thanks for stopping by, I always love comments. See you soon.
